Γι'αυτο αγαπω...

Η διαφορετικότητα είναι υπέροχη, το πιστεύω πραγματικά. Συχνά όμως το περιβάλλον μας αναγκάζει να κρύψουμε τη δική μας για να σεβαστούμε αυτή των άλλων. 'Η και για να προστατέψουμε τα συνφέροντά μας. Κι εκεί έρχεται το στρες, και οι θαμμένες μνήμες της εφηβείας...κι η ισορροπία που έχουμε με κόπο χτίσει, αυτό το "είμαι γκέι και είναι οκ", κλονίζεται.

Εγώ δουλεύω στα Ηνωμένα Έθνη, έτσι; Έεετσι. Τα Ηνωμένα Έθνη είναι discrimination-free, έτσι; Έεετσι. Είναι επίσης και smoke-free αλλά αυτό δεν μας ενδιαφέρει αυτή τη στιγμή.

Παραθέτω παρακάτω τις απόψεις του προϊσταμένου μου περί ομοφυλοφιλίας...σας διαβεβαιώ ότι απίστευτα πολλοί συνάδελφοι των discrimination-free Ηνωμένων Εθνών τις συμμερίζονται.

Το κείμενο είναι απάντηση στις θρησκευτικές αναζητήσεις ενός συναδέλφου (μου το προώθησε τρίτος συνάδελφος στα κρυφά)

Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 7:1,2 : "it is good for a man not to marry. But since there is so much immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman her own husband." He said further in the same chapter verse 7 " I wish all men were as I am. But each man has his own gift from God; one has this gift, another has that.' Please note that Paul was not married. But read 1 Corinthians chapters 6 and 7 - all of it - in NIV. You will see that what Paul is preaching is, 'if you can serve God as a single person and still obey commandments such as 'thou shall not commit adultery', then go ahead and stay single. But if you can't, then have your own wife. This is clear from the scriptures.

However, some denominations believe that celebacy is the best way a priest can serve God because you will be entirely free from the problems of marriage and you will concentrate on your service to God. So the controversy goes on in some denominations.

With regards to ordaining gays and lesbians, this is clearly ourtrageous and in direct disobedience to the word of God. In 1 Corinthians 6: 9 it is said: 'do you not know that the wicked will not inheret the kingdom of God. Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homsexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.' The Bible says that 'everything is permissible but not everything is beneficial. I agree with you that some have taken this permissiveness too far - to the point of sinning against God.

As believers (Charismatic believers especially) condemn homosexuality outright as sin (because disobedience to the word of God considered as rebellion to God and rebellion is classed as sin - see 1 Samuel 15: 22,23) Those pastors or bishops who are ordaining homosexuals as priests have got it all worng. No-where in the Bible is it stated that homosexuality should be blessed (because ordaining homosexuals and lesbians is equal to blessing them into ministry)

Yes, we have been commanded at creation to go into the world and multiply, and I see no other way to do this apart from men and women having children. It is the only way God has designed for us to multiply. Clonning is not the way, nor are test tube babies the way. By the way, with God there is no barren marriage. He always provides a child for every married couple who believe in him - even if the man or woman is scientifically considered "baren". See the stories of Hannah (Samuel's mother); Samson's mother; Rachel; Sarah, and many other cases in our own days. If God unites a man and a woman, he will always ensure that you multiply accordingly!

Συμφωνώ ότι δεν πρέπει να γενικεύουμε τα πάντα, πιστεύω επίσης ότι πολλές φορές εμείς οι ίδιοι διαιωνίζουμε το πρόβλημα επιμένοντας να κρυβόμαστε ή να "γκετοποιούμαστε". Καμιά φορά ίσως και να μεγαλοποιούμε τα πράγματα (κανενός η μάνα δεν πέθανε μαθαίνοντας ότι ο κανακάρης της τα'χει με τον Τάσο από το λογιστικό γραφείο απέναντι). Η όποια συμπεριφορά όμως, όσο παράλογη κι αν φαντάζει σε καλοπροαίρετα μάτια, πάντα κάπου στηρίζεται. Παραθέτω μια προσωπική εμπειρία, αρκετά χαρακτηριστική πιστεύω.

Κάποτε (πρόσφατα) περπάτησα όλο το κέντρο του Παρισιού χέρι-χέρι με έναν υπέροχο άντρα. Όσο περπατούσαμε στο Marais ένιωθα απέραντη περηφάνεια, κυριολεκτικά έβλεπα τη ζήλεια στα μάτια των άλλων! Αφού βγήκαμε από το Marais και μέχρι να φτάσουμε στον Πύργο, η περηφάνεια δεν είχε μεν μετριαστεί, είχε όμως αναγκαστεί να συνυπάρχει με τη σκέψη "ευτυχώς που είναι ψηλός και μπρατσωμένος και δεν κινδυνεύουμε".

Γι'αυτό αγαπώ το Marais, και το Waterkant στο Cape Town, και το Γκάζι (αν και δεν το πολυγνωρίζω), και τα απανταχού gay bar ...γιατί δεν θα έχω πάντα έναν ψηλό μπρατσωμένο να με προστατεύει...και δεν είναι ωραίο να αισθάνεσαι ανασφαλής στα 37 σου.
